Concrete Donkey for sale!

It is a mark of my utterly skewed priorities that, on reading my local freesheet, I considered buying this concrete donkey, until it occurred to me that it’d be a bugger to get in and out of the car.
Nevertheless, a three foot brown and white concrete donkey would look pretty cool.

I can so see you driving along with a concrete donkey poking out of your car’s sunroof.
Course, the mental image also includes you being unable to extricate the Donkey from said car, and having to shuffle kids around with it like that…
Why not turn this into a creative project for the kids over summer? Some chicken wire and papier machee and hey presto! One not quite concrete, but completely original donkey. You could even make it life size (saves taking the kids to the beach for the traditional donkey ride!). Hours of fun!
I’m always tempted to buy those plastic donkeys that eject cigarettes from their arse when you lift the tail. Simple things amuse me.
I agree with Shez about the summer holiday donkey project and I want to see pictures of it! Love to the family Px

Then you’ve probably got this one too. If not, I recommend it
Personally I don’t need a donkey as my husband is enough for me and certainly harder than concrete.

i get this sort of thing at work: whenever there’s a giant filing cabinet about to be chucked, i’m always thinking “hey, free filing cabinet”…but being reliant on buses and kind strangers with cars is not the best situation for this sort of spontaneous hoarding.
oh, completely unrelated, but had me sniggering (in the light of our deprecation discussion): some people are proposing to deprecate “www.” in web addresses http://no-www.org/ – life imitating art?
