Apologies for the recent lack of entries; James had routine surgery, involving a laparoscopy in the navel and two keyhole wounds, which subsequently became infected and needed visits to A&E. He’s recovering fine, but I’m taking a little longer; holding down your panicking child while they’re being gassed asleep is not great for the soul, particularly as I’d billed the whole day at hospital as a boys’ day out …
